So I got a cat. And she is so cute. She is grey and white and very clingy (at least right now), and she is quite skittish (at least right now). I am not sure what I want to name her. I have thought of a couple names, but I just can't narrow it down. Any ideas?
You can see her little nubbin of a leg in this one.
She wouldn't hold still unless I was touching her. I told you she was clingy.
Again, I am still holding on to her. Oh, and she likes to sleep right up in my face.
This would have been really cute if she would have held still, but then she walked up to me and got all out of focus.
So, tell me your ideas for names, and then we will have a poll from the ones I like the best.
Isn't she cute.

I think she is ADORABLE! I love cats, wish I could get one. I'm not very good at naming them though. So, sorry can't help ya there.
I'm not a big cat person (being that they can kill me with their dander and all), but even I have to admit she's awfully cute! Annie saw the pictures and I asked her what the kitty's name she should be, and she said, "George." I pointed out it was a girl kitty cat, to which she responded, "Then definitely George." I like "Nubbin," but that's just me.
I've always wanted to name a grey cat Scout.
How did she lose her foot?
She's adorable! My favorite childhood cat was named Sir George. That said, I'm all for the historical names ("cat" in another language can only be done so many times) so how about Maeser? Ok, it's a terrible name, but it was the second thing that came to mind and I don't know how to spell Tchaikovsky (except I just looked it up). Or there's always naming her after a significant place in your life. We had a dog named after the street we lived on.
I like Lynx, because she has those ear tufts like a lynx, or maybe Lennox, because it's kinda like Lynx. There's a little girl in our ward named Lennox. As for George, there was a girl named George that was one of Nancy Drew's best friends (in the books). Or how about Crookshanks? I know they aren't the same color, but they seem to have similar personalities, in that Crookshanks doesn't like to hold still, otherwise I guess they aren't that similar.
Huitzilopochtli (and call her Huitzi, pronounced WEET-zee), Kali, Tripod, Tripoli, Trips, Triad, Trix, Trixie, Trincess, Triple Threat, Tizzle, Skizzle...
I could keep going if you want.
Let me know when we can come over and see your new addition . . . Annie would love to see the kitty! She may call her George no matter what you decide though. I'll have approximately 20 minutes before my throat starts to close off and my eyes start to swell shut, but it'll be worth it to see Annie with a kitty! :-)
Awh she is cute. :0) She's probably more skittish and clingy because of her disability. ;-)
You could go the "Faith, Hope, or Charity" route because of her leg being gone and she's still here.
Scout is dang cute though (would totally choose that if she were a he.
Annie has changed her mind. She now wants to call the kitty "The Girl." I think I prefer George.
My favorite cat when I was kid was named George. But then he was actually a boy cat. I named him after Curious George (the monkey)and then I would sing the nursery rhyme "Georgy Porgy Puddin Pie, Kissed the girls and made them cry...etc." to him every day when I came home from school. So, good name.
I also like the "nubbin" suggestion even though it may not be very original. I would just call him "Nubbs" or "Nubby" however...cause I tend to name everything that is cute, dear, or funny to me by some name that involves 'ubb' or 'uppy'.
For example, I started calling my husband "Buppy" for absolutely no reason. I refer to my love handles as "Chubbs" or "Mr. Chubbs" and I keep calling our fish "poopy", "poppy", or "bubbs" even though none of those are his name. I think I just like the 'bb' or 'pp' sounds. It really makes no sense.
I like "Nubby"...
I am no help.
Good luck.
